Here are some tips on how to avoid this happening to your portable staging. Its seems after a study completed by Revostage owners Panel Systems Limited, storage is the key factor.
Storing your portable stage next to radiators, or in freezing cold out buildings has an effect on the coverings on top of the stage causing these materials to shrink away from the edges.
Another lesser known issue raised was direct sunlight and fluids. Stage decks that were left in direct sunlight for a period of time, saw the coverings shrink too.
This can obviously cause trip hazards and lead to personal injury. So be sure to store your portable staging at room temperature if at all possible.
Revostage went on to say that they can recover any portable stage deck platform from as little as £5. If your stage covering is looking a bit tatty, then give them a call.
